CIA, Israel and conspiracy theories: What to expect from the JFK files

Thousands of records about the US president’s assassination in 1963 still remain classified

US President Donald Trump has ordered the declassification of all remaining withheld records pertaining to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Almost 5,000 documents are still veiled in secrecy.

Kennedy was killed in November 1963, while visiting Dallas, Texas. A congressional commission chaired by Supreme Court Justice Earl Warren concluded in 1964 that “lone gunman” Lee Harvey Oswald was to blame. The CIA coined the pejorative term “conspiracy theory” to describe alternate scenarios regarding JFK’s death, which has not stopped many Americans from doubting the Warren Commission’s conclusions.

Trump’s order also applies to the remaining classified records about the 1968 assassinations of Senator Robert F. Kennedy and civil rights campaigner Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.

How many documents are there?

The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) says it has declassified 99% of some 320,000 documents related to the JFK assassination, as required by a law passed by Congress in 1992. The final deadline for declassification was October 2017, but the US intelligence community claimed it needed more time to review and redact the records.

According to multiple estimates, 2,140 documents remain fully or partially redacted, while another 2,500 records have been kept secret for other reasons, such as court orders or donor restrictions.

What is in the secret files?

One item of particular interest is a June 1961 memorandum written by White House adviser Arthur Schlesinger, outlining how JFK could accomplish his goal of “splintering the Agency [CIA] into a thousand pieces and scattering it to the winds.” One page is redacted in full, while two more have partial redactions. Kennedy was frustrated with the CIA after the botched invasion of Cuba at the Bay of Pigs in April that year.

Another partially redacted record is the transcript of the testimony that CIA Counterintelligence Chief James Jesus Angleton gave to the Church Committee in January 1976. Some scholars believe Angleton, who ran the CIA's Israel desk for years and was a friend of Soviet spy Kim Philby, had lied to Congress about Israel obtaining nuclear weapons in the 1960s – something the Jewish State has neither confirmed nor denied.

Other potentially revealing records relate to CIA surveillance activities in Mexico in the early 1960s, when Oswald visited the country, and the work of a CIA officer with Cuban exiles in Miami that intersected with Oswald.

What can be expected of the revelations?

Historians and researchers that have spoken to major US outlets seem to agree that there will be no “smoking gun” in the remaining documents.

“There will be some puzzle pieces that will be put back in that will tell a more robust and rich story,” Tom Samoluk, a board member of the JFK Library Foundation, has told CNN.

Journalist Gerald Posner has warned that “anybody waiting for a smoking gun that’s going to turn this case upside down will be sorely disappointed.”

Kennedy’s nephew Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has lauded the declassification as a step against the “60-year strategy of lies and secrecy, disinformation, censorship, and defamation” used by the intelligence agencies to suppress “troubling facts” about the JFK assassination. He claimed that this “provided the playbook for a series of subsequent crises – the MLK and RFK assassinations, Vietnam, 9/11, the Iraq war and COVID – that have each accelerated the subversion of our exemplary democracy by the Military/Medical Industrial Complex.”

RFK Jr. has said that he believes there is “overwhelming evidence” tying the CIA to the assassination of both his uncle and his father.

When can we expect the release?

Trump’s executive order gave the US Director of National Intelligence and the Attorney General 45 days to review the records and “present a plan” for their full and complete release. Both offices are currently held by acting officials, as the Senate still needs to confirm Pam Bondi as the attorney general and Tulsi Gabbard as the DNI.

“We’re hoping this is going to be a mechanical plan,” Larry Schnapf, a New York-based attorney who has sued the government to compel the release of JFK files, told ABC News. If the government opts for a “substantive” review, going document-by-document, “it’s going to be a while,” he added.

Biden joins black Freemasons

The former US president could technically be excommunicated from the Catholic Church for becoming a Master Mason

Former US President Joe Biden, a self-professed Catholic, has joined an African-American Masonic lodge as a ‘Master Mason’. The Vatican takes a dim view of Freemasonry, and Catholics who join the fraternal order face excommunication.

Biden was inducted into the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge in South Carolina on Sunday, one day before he left office. In a private ceremony, the lodge’s grand master, Victor C. Major, granted Biden “Master Mason membership with full honors,” according to a statement published by the organization last weekend that circulated online on Friday.

”To be a Freemason is to be part of a brotherhood dedicated to personal growth, service to others, and the pursuit of knowledge and truth,” the lodge wrote. Biden’s service, the statement added, “reflects the core values” of this brotherhood.

Although its origins stretch back to the 15th century, modern Freemasonry developed in Britain in the early 1700s and quickly grew into a Europe- and US-wide fraternity for philosophers, religious dissidents, occultists, and the business and political elite. Some 14 US presidents, including George Washington, were Freemasons.

Prince Hall Masonry is a historically black sect of Freemasonry founded in 1775 by a freed slave in Boston.

Biden has not publicly acknowledged joining the ranks of the Prince Hall Masons. However, his membership in the organization stands at odds with his Catholic faith.

Pope Clement XII forbade Catholics from practicing Freemasonry in 1738, and this papal ban remained in place until 1983, when the Vatican issued a new order banning membership in organizations that “plot against the Church.” While the new order did not explicitly name Freemasonry, it maintained excommunication as a potential punishment for Catholics who join such organizations.

”The faithful who enroll in Masonic associations are in a state of grave sin and may not receive Holy Communion,” Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, who would go on to become Pope, declared at the time.

Throughout his political life, Biden has sometimes embraced political positions that contradict his faith. Back in 2021, the US Conference of Catholic Bishops drafted a document that would have forbidden Biden from receiving Holy Communion over his pro-abortion views. After Pope Francis declared Biden a “good Catholic,” and said that he should continue receiving Communion, the document was revised to state that Catholic politicians have a “special responsibility to embody Church teaching in their service of the common good.”  End of RT story.

    Hugh Murray adds:  It is known Hitler sought to destroy Jews, Communists, and other groups.  Among his enemies, the Masons, and he confiscated their property.  Vichy, the French state erected after the 3rd French Republic capitulated to the Nazis, was not a typical fascist state, certainly not like Hitler's in various ways.  It saw Vichy as the answer to the French Revolution, which it blamed on Jews, Masons, and radicals.  Forget Liberty, Equality, Fraternity, for the slogans of Vichy would be practical and revolve round Work, Family, Nation, and unofficially, the (Catholic) Faith.  They would co-laborate with the Nazis, but did  not want to become Nazis.  Vichy was the Catholic response to the French Revolution.  The Cathedral of Notre Dame - inconceivable that it was once a Temple to the Goddess of Reason, unbelievable that the Christian calendar had been replaced the Year 1 of the Revolution and a decimal, 10-day week.  Marshall Petain had to agree that France would be part of Neuropa (Neurope), but a very French part providing the final answer to 1789.

Both great men, both heroes, both despised by the American establishments of their eras.

Both became convicted felons, so we recall King writing letters from the Birmingham jail.  He was convicted by fanatical Democratic District Attorneys determined to punish all who challenged racist, segregation laws.  Former Pres. Trump had to defend himself in court by a slew of fanatical Democratic Party DAs, likely coordinated by Atty. Gen. Garland's Justice Department.  If Trump would simply retire to senility, he would be no threat to the globalist order, but he was planning to run for President a 3rd time, in 2024, and the globalist elite and their coalition decided the best way to prevent him from winning would be through the courts.  Convict him in heavily Democratic areas where the juries would lean against any Republican.  Dig up old charges, some that had never been used against any other business man, or any man faced with a long past sex allegation and never before tried, and now years after the "fact," and taking documents from the National Archives, while VP Biden had also taken such documents, docs which a President could take, but a vice president could not legally do so; yet the Biden case was gently handled by Garland's attys, but they went after Trump - hard.  And, ironically, one reason the recent Democratic Party hates Trump, the Democrats are the defenders of the new racism, the anti-white, anti-male, anti- this and that bureaucratic nightmare of diversity, equity, and inclusion, which also requires inclusion of biological men in women's sports so women will have less chance of winning.  Trump and the MAGA movement stand for equal rights and merit, concepts that are now anathema to Democrats.  Prior to the 2024 election, Trump was facing up to 700 years if all those cases were resolved against him.  Trump did not yield - he fought on.

     King was threatened and assassinated.  They tried to assassinate Trump, twice, in 2 months.  He fought on, and he won the election.  Jan. 20, 2025 will be the beginning of out liberation day.  The invaders are on notice that they will have to go home.  The borders will be open for legal immigrants.  Looters and criminals will be punished, despite Soros chosen attys who fail to perform their duties.  We will have freedom of speech, freedom to question Medictators like Dr. Fauci, whose funds may have paid for the development of Covid (as part of biological warfare), and whose policies probably killed many Americans who should have survived.  Free speech will not resolve all differences, but it may clarify issues.  There will still be mistakes made, many unsolved problems, but we won't have Los Angelse burning so many homes because the Gov. refused to do his job in controlled burning of underbrush and saving record rainfalls for the non-rainy days.  It won't be perfect, for it never is here on earth, but it will be more open so we may discover our mistakes before they become catastrophes.  With luck, under Trump's leadership, America enters a new age on Jan. 20, 2025.

One of the best soccer players in the world has just raised the bar on compensation. Erling Haaland has signed what the Athletic calls an "extraordinary" contract to remain with Manchester City for the next 10 seasons. Terms were not announced, but it's believed to be "among the most lucrative sporting contracts ever," according to the outlet. CBS Sports reports that that the 24-year-old striker is expected to make 500,000 pounds a week, or about $610,000.. . .

This season began, and he was top of the league in scores and Man City was #1, and then, other teams learnt that if they had big guys, they could bloc his plays. True, Man. City lost 2 essential players from its mid-field, and with no one to feed the striker the ball, he could not score goals.so in 2025, Man City has tumbled down to #6, Mo Salah (from Egypt) has taken the lead in the leagues' goals, and Liverpool now has won a firm grasp on the #1 position, with Arsenal, Nottingham Forest and others also ahead of Man. City. Man. City even lost to what had been the best known team, perhaps in the world a few decades ago, its cross town rival, Manchester United.
I see this contract as far too much for a player already begining to fail. Spend on building the rest of the team.

THOUGHTS ON FIRES IN CALIFORNIA

   The old story was that Emperor Nero played the fiddle while Rome burned.  Then others said, that instrument had not yet been inventted, so he was probably playing the lyre.  Nero was a fan of the arts, and did partake in one of the Olympic games, in the chariot race, awarded the prize, even tho he fell off the chariot.  I think they revoked the prize after his death.  But a fire in ancient Rome did not have fire hydrants, and not many helicopters to drop water to quell the fires.  There can be little doubt, modern fire fighters have certain advantages over those of the Neronian era.

THE FIRES THIS TIME!

     Then how to explain the burnings in Los Angeles?  In an October interview on a podcast, candidate Don J. Trump warned that the green policies of the Democrats were endangering the people of California.  Trump stated, that to save some tiny fish, vast sums of precious water were being emptied from California resovoirs and dumped into the Pacific Ocean, depleting the available water in case of emergency.  He criticized the green policies of the climate change crowd, the eco regulators on various commissions to save obscure frogs, etc., who opposed the clearing of the underbrush, and preferred the leaves to be left to turn brown, and dry up and become tinder for any sparks down the road.

   Trump made this criticism, the WARNING, in October 2024.  The past few years, California has experienced almost record breaking rains.  Water, which had accumulated, was diverted and emptied into the ocean, underbrush dried and accumulated to become tinder.  Democrats, greens and progressives, refused to allow controlled burning of the underbrush, which is dangerous, but if you do not burn it off in small chunks, the later result will be huge uncontrolled fires, as we see now in Los Angeles.  Meanwhile, California money for firefighters was cut, and the new leaders spent more on important projects like DEI.  One experienced gent applying for such a job, was denied one BECAUSE he was a white male.  He was told to come back in 7 years once the fire department had hired more of its quota people.  (One wonders if he might have gotten a job immediately if he had said, I am a male today, but used to be female.) Meanwhile, the fire department was undermanned.  And the water hydrants were NOT underwater, but often OUT OF water.

     And when the first sparks came, and smoldered into fires, fires with flames that sparked and spread in high winds to more fires, and more, and more.  Homes burnt, businesses burnt, schools burnt. neighbor hoods burnt.  Los Angeles began to look like bombed out burnt out Dresden at the end of WWII.  These fires in California may have begun as accidents, but the failure to control them was the result of policies, Democratic Party policies, ecology policies, Green policies, progressive policies.  Cal. Democrat Gov. Newsom fiddles while California burns; Pres. Biden fiddles while America burns.

THOUGHTS ON PARADES

  Feb. 21, 2021 a man drove his large car, and SUV, into the back of a Christmas parade as the groups were walking, dancing a marching down the street.  The driver purposely aimed his van at the people in front of him, running them down, killing some, maiming others.  Results: 6 dead, and 62 injured.  I have friends in Waukesha, and was invited to a big meal a few days later.  I was shocked then to hear that they had planned to go to that parade, but one of the group had a stomach ache, and they stayed home instead.  3 cheers for stomach u[sets.

     Most killed were elderly, particularly a number of a group Dancing Grannies.  (also murdered, a 5-y-o boy).  This was a rare event.  New Orleans has many parades, and a male group invited the Dancing Grannies to march in a NO Mardi Gras parade, which ends in the French Quarter.  The Waukesha grannies paraded in NO several times.

    New Year's Eve 2024-25, there was no official parade in the French Quarter, just the mass of people there to drink and celebrate the coming New Year.  It was well after midnight, after 3am, the crowd had thinned, tho their speech may have thickened after many drinks.  Then the maniacal driver seeks to mow them down with his vehicle, his rifle, and his explosives.  His objective is to separate believers from non-believers.  I only hope there are not many believers like him!  He killed 15, wounded 30+.

     What is strange is that this method of terrorism is still rather rare in America.  I was born and raised in New Orleans, lived there until about 30, and now reside in the city of which Waukesha is the suburb.  One hopes the terrorists will stop this - people are not grass to be mowed and slaughtered.  I hope NO can return to Mardi Gras parades, jazz funeral parades, engagement parades, and just parades for fun, and Waukesha can have happy Christmas parades hereafter.---Hugh Murray
