AMERICAN COUP; WILIMINGTONTON 1898 -- MY REVIEW
Saturday, November 9, 2024
AMSTERDAM, MAKKABIS, 2-STATE SOLUTION v 40-STATE SOLUTION
I see that the Dutch immigrants are celebrating Kristallnacht in Amsterdam. Seems the Makkabi footballers are not up to their namesakes - they lost the match 5-0 to Ajax, and their fans lost to the mob of Jew haters. Sickening shades of the Nazi occupation, replaced with the migrant occupation..
Of course, the real Makkabis of today are fighting in the Middle East, and winning. Netanyahu has not yielded to the 2-state solution non-sense of Biden, Blinken, and Nada heads. Remember, many Democrats called for a 2-state solution in the US in 1864, and the result would have been a North of free states, and an independent Confederacy of slave states. Would that have been a good solution? It would have ended the Civil War somewhat earlier, but would that have been a good solution?
Instead of a 2-state solution of the Democrats, I would go back to earlier proposals. There is only one Jewish nation in the world, and perhaps at least 40 Muslim nations. If those 40 really cared about the Gazans and other Palestinian, invite them to their nations, open their borders to fellow Muslims! If split 40 ways, it would not be a major burden for any one Muslim nation to take in some of the Muslim Palestinian refugees. BUT THEY DON'T WANT THAT. THEY DON'T WANT TO LIVE IN PEACE AMONG THEIR OWN.
The solution of the Palestinian leaders is stay, fight, kill - DEATH TO ISRAEL, DEATH TO AMERICA. Start war after war, if need be lose, after loss, but eventually Israel will make a mistake. Eventually, the Muslims will win. Then, wipe out every Jew in the Middle East. And then prepare for the big fight against the big Satan, America. God is great!
Happily, Israel under the leadership of Netanyahu, has avoided yielding to Biden and his 2-state cease fire policy of appeasement to the Palestinians. And now enter Trump! What happens now? We shall see.----Hugh Murray

THE REAL ISSUE WE FACE IN THIS ELECTION 2024
Jay Stanley on an American Civil Liberties Union web site, began an article, probably written in 2017, this way -
"President-elect Donald Trump’s criticism of the intelligence community over its reports of Russian hacking during the 2016 election has generated a lot of commentary over what is being described as a “feud” between Trump and the intelligence agencies.
"Beyond all of the questions about the Russians, their relationship with Trump, their role in the election, etc., there is another element of this story that is also raising very frightening questions about the state of our democracy.
""An example of what I’m talking about emerged when Senate Democratic leader Charles Schumer was asked by Rachel Maddow about Trump’s spurning of the agencies’ findings. Trump is “taking these shots, this antagonism, this taunting to the intelligence community,” Maddow pointed out. The response by Schumer—who has been in Congress since 1980, and in the Senate leadership for ten years, and presumably knows his way around Washington—should send a chill through the heart of every American:
Let me tell you, you take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you. So, even for a practical, supposedly hard-nosed businessman, he’s being really dumb to do this.
"Some may argue that Trump is not serving his country well by not giving more respect to the intelligence community. But whether or not that is true, if it’s really the case that dissing the intelligence community might result in retaliation by that community against a politician, then the lines of power in our political system have become dangerously distorted."
It turns out, the American intel operatives were active in getting the fake Russian collusion story into a FISA court, and soon a Special Council was appointed, one that kept the newly elected Trump Administration on the defensive for its first 2 years in office, though with Speaker of the House Republican Paul Ryan - a hate Trumper, the new Administration would have had difficulty enacting its programs anyway.
Skip to October 2020, shortly before election day .
When the NY Post began its expose of the Hunter Biden laptop, Blinken, then working for the Dems, called some intel friends, and soon 51 US Intel agents signed a LIE TO HELP BIDEN WIN AND TRUMP LOSE THE 2020 ELECTION. These included the head of the CIA, and other leaders from other intel agencies. They had not examined the laptop, but assured the American public that it was Russian disinformation; worse, the intel agents got big tech to squash the story before the Nov. 2020 election. When Hunter finally when to trial some years later, NO ONE QUESTIONED THE VALIDITY OF THE LAPTOP. Let me emphasize, just before election day 2020, the NY Post published a story on parts of the Hunter laptop, that exposed both the corruption of Hunter, and presumably his father Joe Biden, the man then running for President against Trump. Blinken, who was then working for the Democratic Party, asked friends in Intel for help. Without examining the Hunter laptop, they LIED, say it was Russian disinformation, and they pressured the tech stories to censure and ban the story. 51 leaders in American intelligence organizations, including the chief of the CIA, LIED TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE IN ORDER TO ELECT DEMOCRAT BIDEN AND DEFEAT TRUMP! American Intel purposely denied the American voters vital information that could have swayed the election in favor of Trump. Is this what the Democrats call democracy??? Are our intelligence agencies active in the election contest of today? This election campaign, there have been at least 2 assassins trying to kill Trump. Did they get help from American intel agencies? The agencies do not have to use one of their own for such a job. In the US there are crazies of all beliefs, some on the left, on the right, up or down. The agencies can just let the protection down and let a crazy get through, to shoot and kill. Is this what happened in Butler, PA? Time to open up the assassination files on Pres. John Kennedy. Pompeo, former head of the CIA, pled with Trump not to do so, for it would be a catastrophe, Pompeo said. Trump caved and failed on his promise; Trump did not open all the files. Time to curb govt agencies that have ceased to represent the American people and instead have become the KGB of the Democratic Party. THE ISSUE TODAY IS, WHO RULES AMERICA? THE CITIZENS OR THE UNELECTED INTEL AGENCIES?????
Kamala gave her speech in Washington saying Trump wants to be a dictator and jail his opponents, meanwhile Trump is facing around 700 years in prison with all the Dem. charges against him, while some of his advisors like Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon have recently been released from prison while Democrats who faced similar charges never went to jail. Former Mayor of NYC Giuliani faces pauperism thanks to more political trials. The Democrats call Trump a new Hitler and racist. But the Democrats are the party of racism in America. The Democrats were the party of slavery, of the Confederacy, of the Ku Klux Klan, of the "Solid South" (make sure there are no Republicans allowed to take office), the party of segregation. Eventually, the old message failed, but unlike the Republicans who demanded equal rights, the Democrats remained the racist party, THEY SIMPLY CHANGED RACES. To give them more power, they got to determining who was one of the favored races, what percent of advantage they would have, and all other kinds of rewards and punishments, and throw in sex, and trans, and other categories into the pot, and the Democrats, weighing each and how much they should get, becomes ever more powerful, and with INTEL friends, do they really need the votes of deplorables, and what Pres. Biden just called (white trash) "garbage" anymore? The Democrats have Intel, the media, Hollywood, academia, and now, the military-industrial complex, and it's favored races, ethnicities, sexes, and millions of invading illegal aliens, etc. It no longer needs the votes of American citizens to win. Or does it?
If Trump wins, and/or if he is allowed to win, it will be a whole new ball game!!!

THEY SAY KAMALA HAS CHANGED HER MESSAGE - IT IS NOW, TRUMP IS A NEW HITLER, DICTATOR
Let us review some of Kamala's campaign for President:
Let's see - joy campaign, FAILED;
Biden economics was a success, FAILED;
Border czarina, FAILED;
women need freedom to control their bodies, SUCCESS;
Trump a convicted felon, SO WAS MLK AND MANY CR WORKERS, FAILED;
Trump talks to Putin and gave him med assistance; FAILED, If true, so what, why not improve relations with a rather inexpensive gift?
BIDEN-KAMALA FOREIGN POLICY AFGHAN WITHDRAWAL DISASTER, SOLIDIFIED PUTIN-XI ALLIANCE, MESS IN UKRAINE, NEW THREATS TO TAIWAN, AND TO PACIFIC ISLANDS, MIDDLE EAST AFLAME, DEMOCRATS BROUGHT WORLD TO BRINK OF MAJOR WARS; not a successful campaign issue for Kamala.
Kamala's latest try to win, Trump is a new Hitler;;;to soon to tell, but is that why one of Trump's daughters married a Jewish man, and she converted to his faith? Trump promises to fire the incompetents who refused to use troops against violent protestors and looters and arsonists; and who refused to inquire into the Hunter Biden laptop and charge the Bidens involved in corruption with the Chinese. And Trump allegedly said Hitler did some good. When Hitler came to power, German was in the midst of a severe depression, and he did much to end it. Just as FDR did much to curtail the Great Depression at the same time in the USA. And just as Roosevelt was loved by many saved from hunger and extreme poverty, so too was Hitler. True, part of Hitler's solution to the depression was to prepare for war, violating treaties to expand his army, investing in war-related industries. The newsreels depict thousands of cheering people, who thought they were better off because of Hitler's leadership. Same in the US with adoration of FDR. Of course, in Germany there was open discrimination against Jews, gays, and other minorities, and hidden murder of babies born with defects - all of this even before WWII. Hitler did do some good, as did Stalin, Mao, and most dictators, but most of us would add, it was outweighed by a vast amount of evil by those dictators. I suspect Trump would agree, Hitler's evil far outweighed his good. Cherry-picking someone's comments in order to distort the truth amounts to just another campaign lie. I hope the American voters will not be swayed by lies from either party.

FLASH FLOODS IN NEW MEXICO
Recently, the rather isolated town of Roswell, New Mexico, had to endure flash flooding, rare in the dry desert area. A few Americans died in the rushing waters. One underground building was swamped by the fast moving waters, and it seems more deaths. Two American males, and five illegal aliens of undetermined sex. The illegal aliens had green skin, and the doctor speculated they might have come from another planet. Some contend that this is not true - they did not have green skin; it was blue. But I hope you firgive me, enough with a bad joke. Hugh

DONALD TRUMP - CONVICTED FELON
A Democrat prosecutor in heavily Dem territory succeeded in winning a case - getting former President Trump to become a convicted felon. Using Democratic Party enacted laws, Democrat prosecutors got Martin Luther King to become a convicted felon, also. Using Democratic Party enacted segregation laws, Democrat prosecutors got many civil rights activists to become convicted felons too. This says far more about the dictatorial nature of the Democratic Party than about its victim "felons."
By the way, I am one of the former convicted felons, arrested in the first modern sit-in in New Orleans at the large Woolworths on Canal and North Rampart Streets. 7 of us, 5 Negroes, 2 whites, from Tulane, Dillard, Xavier, and what was then called LSUNO sat in' requesting cups of coffee. We sat for hours without being served until the then DA for the city, Richard Dowling arrived, read us the law, and had us arrested. Sit-ins had begun in February 1960 in North Carolina and spread, but none occurred in what had been the largest city of the South for a century, New Orleans until we did it in September 1960. We were part of CORE, the Congress of Racial Equality, while the adult NAACP organization in the city opposed the sit-in. Woolworth's was across the street from the large Saenger Theater. Years later the five aand dime store was demolished to be replaced by a Hard Rock Cafe on that property, but a fallen crane accident and death in construction led to delays. I do not know what is on that block now. DA Dowling lost in the next Democratic primary and was replaced by a new DA, Jim Garrison, but his first efforts were against "vice," and so there was a raid on the racially mixed Quorum Club even in 1963. Garrison is a hero in my eyes for his daring probe into the John Kennedy assassination, but his early years were hardly liberal.
When we went to court on our sit-in case, each of us facing up to $500 in fines and a year in jail, we sat together. When the judge arrived, he screamed at us he might hold us in contempt of clurt with additional fines) for desegregating his court room, so we 2 whites moved away from our fellow defendants and our attorneys. With his first words, we suspected we would be found guilty. We were. It took some years, but eventually the 2nd New Orleans sit in, a week after ours, made it to the US Supreme Court, and the city lost its case against all of us. I have no regrets about having been a convicted felon.---Hugh Murray

THE AL SMITH DINNER AND DEMOCRATIC PARTY DINNERS
Yes, the Al Smith Dinner! But what ever happened to the Jefferson-Jackson dinners that the Dems used to celebrate? Named for a founder of the Democratic Party, Thomas Jefferson, and Andrew Jackson who reframed the party after the Era of Good Feelings, these dinners were important political rallies for the Democrats. But no more. Of course Jefferson did own slaves; and so did Jackson. And Al Smith probably opposed abortion.
Perhaps in future, the Democrats will be celebrating with the George Floyd-Sirhan Sirhan Dinners.Tuesday, October 8, 2024
2 POLITICAL RALLIES - WHY WASN'T ELON MUSK AT BOTH???
On Saturday May 5, 2024, former Pres. Donald Trump returned to Butler, Pennsylvania to hold a massive rally - a return to the scene where a young man ended the earlier rally by shooting Trump in the ear, and nearly hitting his head. By an inch or so, the assassin failed in his task. Trump rose from the deck to FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT again. Unfortunately, a man was killed and some injured.
I thought the rally would begin at 1 CST, and found a tv station carrying the proceedings. It became obvious, even though the crowd was already massive, this was the warm up, and Trump would not appear for 4 more hours. I did other things and would glance at the tv while waiting. I only saw Elon Musk for a short time. What was he doing? Jumping around on the stage? Was he trying to imitate Tim Walz, Kamala's VP running mate, who always seems to be auditioning for a cheerleader role for a football team. Then Musk made some short, powerful statements. If Trump does not win, it will be the last free election in America. Freedom is the issue of this election, and freedom will end with a Democratic Party victory. Enforcing Musk's judgement, the day or so preceding, Hillary Clinton announced that we need censorship to prevent disinformation in the election. Of course, Clinton and the Democrats know that disinformation is any story that conflicts with the official liberal Democratic pronouncement of truth. Lee Oswald, a lone nut, shot and killed JFK from the 6th floor building. Etc. down through the decades, just ask Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather, down the decades to David Muir. Deviation from them, from the NYT, Washington Post, the Atlantic, and that becomes the definition of disinformation. Big tech can check for sure with the CIA and other agencies. So we will know that any Hunter Biden laptop exposing Biden corruption must be disinformation.
The rally continued when Trump arrived to a joyous welcome. He gave his usual stump Trump speech, which includes humor and policy analysis, homage to the dead and wounded at the previous rally, and closing as usual, with the We will make America .... again." chants.
Why was Musk there? Musk is NOT an American by birth. Why is he not in his homeland?
The answer - I recall seeing a news film of a huge political rally in South Africa. in a stadium. They were promoting the Economic Freedom Fighters Party led by Julius Malema, and he was there, center stage in the stadium, leadeing the large crowd in a simple song: "Kille the Boer, kill the white," The words are repeated a number of times, and then the chorus of rat, tat, tat, tat, tat, as he holds a rifle in his arm, and uses his voice to immitate the weapon shooting whites. Naturally, the American mass media, infected with sociological non-sense that blacks cannot be racists, must ignore such obvious examples of virulent racism, for it knocks the absurd liberal social science theories into the trash can. In the latest election, the AFC, the African National Congress lost its majority which it held since 1990 and now rules in coalition. The EFF lost votes too, dropping from 10.8% to 9.5%. But how safe would you feel if you were a white South African, and you knew 10% of the population favors putting a bullet in you? And, by the way, white farmers are often murdered, often with their families. The murder rate for all is among the highest in the world in South Africa. The electric grid is grinding down, so black and brown outs are common. It's once proud airline now sits mainly on the ground. Train service deteriorates. Now even tap water is failing in some large cities. Their equivalent of affirmative action since the ANC came to power has brought many blacks into jobs, but apparently now, jobs for which they were utterly unqualified. Infrastructure decays. Even hospitals have blackouts of electricity. Crime. A decaying society. The only possible role for Musk at the EFF rally would have been as target practice.
Would Elon Musk have a future in South Africa? Would any white? And is South Africa America's future? Kamala Harris has trouble enunciating her program, because hers is a radical program. The internet calls the program of the EFF a socialist program. That is like calling the Nazi program a socialist program. Nazi stood for National Socialist German Workers Party, so socialism was part of it. And that may be true of the EFF. But both were virulent racist parties. Many are reluctant to call blacks racists, even when individuals admit the do the knock out game to get back at whites, others get the money, or the phone, or the tv set from whitey. And the excuse their racist crime and thievery as getting it back, just as the Nazis justified their dispossession of the Jews. That is not merely criminal minds, it is criminal racist minds excusing their criminality. The Democratic Party and its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion had pushed Harvard and other posh universities to hire presidents BECAUSE they were blacks, some black women, some men. The woman at Harvard had published little, AND she had plagiarized. No white or Asian would have even been considered for the post with similar weak credentials. But under DEI who cares about qualifications - with DEI the only real qualifications are race and sex. The unacknowledged slogan of affirmative action is "Never Hire the Best Qualified Candidate" for the job. How else did Kamala become Vice President? How else could she become President?
Is the future of America a crumbling, crime-ridden, chaotic South Africa? Musk realizes that a Kamala victory means an American future as another South Africa. Already in decline, we will quickly decay under Kamala and the Democrats - with their green power unable to provide enough energy, black and brown outs reducing industrial productivity, and interfering with our personal lives, disruptions and injuries when the electricity goes off, more DEI hires, more crime, more criminals back on the street, and millions more illegal aliens getting welfare, etc.
Trump is not perfect, and I am sure Musk and Robert Kennedy, Jr., disagree with him on some important points - as do I. But Trump has courage. He knows there are elements IN THE GOVERNMENT bureaucracies who reject the views of the people, who do not want free speech, who do not want parents to have a voice in public schools, who want ever-more no win wars that keep the munition industries thriving, the big phara groups, the Dr. Fauci medicatator types, they do not trust the people of the US. This is why Hillary demands censorship, as do the liberals who want to ban "disinformation. They fear free speech, because they fear free men, free women, a free American people. The only way to provide continued freedom for future Americans is to vote for Donald Trump, his human flaws will be forgiven if he IS ALLOWED TO SAVE AMERICA.

GREATER DANGER TO AMERICAN ELECTIONS, FOREIGN OR US INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES?
Newser had a piece on foreign intelligence threatening our elections. He is my response. Hugh Murray
Be real, the problem of intelligence agencies trying to influence US elections - the main problem is the American intelligence agencies whose leadership is wedded to the Democratic Party. The best example, in Oct. 2020, soon before the Noveber election between Biden and Trump, the NY Post exposed the Hunter Biden laptop story with the clear exposure of Hunter's corruption, and the implied corruption of Joe Biden. Blinken, then a Dem. operative, contacted some friends in intel agencies, and soon 51 leading American intelligence agents, without ever examining Hunter's laptop, were declaring it Russian disinformation and urging big tech to suppress the NY Post story. Big tech and the big networks promptly dismissed the allegations against the Bidens as conspiracy theories, Russian disinformation. So a very important story on Biden corruption was suppressed because US intel decided it wanted Biden to win. Just like tonight on ABC nightly news with Muir, who warned Americans about conspiracy theories re FEMA and hurricane victims. The conspiracy is of course different from Muir's version. The conspiracy was of the Biden Dems to move funding in FEMA from money to help American victims of emergencies, tornados, fires, hurricanes, etc., and instead vast FEMA sums on transporting foreigners to various American town, paying for their hotels, their hospital stays, their food, etc. Because FEMA had spent so much on the invaders, little is left for American victims of storms. The American intel agencies, and the big American media are allied to the Dems, that is the source of disinformation in the media.
Bottom Line - Democrats seem to favor foreign migrants to American citizens.

THE 2024 VICE PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE
This will be s short post - THEY BOTH WON. Tonight I saw Gov. Tim Walz, not trying out to join the football cheerleaders squad, but as an honest, intelligent man groping for political answers that might work. I did not agree with most of his positions, but I grew to respect the man who is running on a major ticket, and who might become President. He agreed with Vance on various points, and his nodding head indicated this even before he spoke. Walz seemed sensible, warm. caring, human.
J.D. Vance, Ohio Senator had raised my ire on several issues already - lying about Haitians eating pets in Springfield, proposing additional votes for those with children, and maintaining that those without children had no stake in the nation, to name a few. But instead of the belligerent bull dog in a china shop, Vance made his points but agreed when he could with Vance. They both saw similar problems, and at times seemed to suggest similar proposals to solve them. He would nod his head in agreement while Walz spoke, too. It seemed quite friendly.
The moderators were two CBS news leaders, Nora O'Donnell, who anchors the nightly news, and Margaret Brennan who hosts the Sunday morning show Face the Nation. Both one may assume are liberals, and Nora's nightly news will go out of its way to spotlight female achievement, and often ignore that of men. Before the debate, I wondered if they might unleash cats to attack Vance because of his remarks about some women not having children and wanting cats. Would they make cats screech into the microphone when Vance spoke? Happily, the women did not bring felines. But they did help the Democrat by not asking about the unending wars and threats of wars under Biden, compared to the relative peace under Trump. The women seem to agree with Nance Pelosi that it is treason to question the results of the 2020 election. And they and Walz seem to prefer censorship, denial of free speech, to even question the legitimacy of Joe Biden's election in 2020. Happily, neither "moderator" is on the ballot.
I now have a more favorable opinion of both Vance and Walz, and that is comforting as either could beome a US President. Hugh Murray
A friend read my email version of this blog, and did not like it. Here is his criticism:
I didn't watch the debate but saw a few highlights afterwards.
When asked about Walz lying about being in Tiananmen square during the massacre, he said that he "grew up in a small town with 400 people where he rode his bicycle and was proud of the service". huh... what?

BLUFF OR NO BLUFF? WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUENCES?
When the Soviets did not send troops to arrest protestors and thereby defend the Wall, and then the wall came down, there were verbal assurances that NATO would not move into Eastern Europe. Poland, and other former Warsaw Pact nations were soon enrolled in NATO, including Estonia, and Latvia, isolating Kaliningrad. In 2014 the Orange Revolution (aided by Victoria Neuland and US Dept of State and its NGOs, and soon the US Dept of Defense had a dozen biolabs in Ukraine. Some contend that the Russian speaking areas of E Ukraine were suffering discrimination. Next the invasion, and a limited war. Putin has warned, if NATO permits long range missiles to fire deeep into Russia, a red line will be crossed, and nuclear weapons may be unleashed. Bluff?
How often have the Russians made such a threat?

ON ANOTHER ASPECT OF FOREIGN INFLUENCE ON THE AMERICAN ELECTION
The Pope is disappointed in both major candidates for President of the US - one he finds anti life; the other anti-migrant. Of course, he is allowed to have his opinion, and to express it.
And I will express my opinion on his assessment of the candidates for US President.
I suggest that the US send the 10 million or so invaders (those whom the Pope calls migrants), that we send 10 million to Vatican City, where the Pope has an independent nation.
I should add another point, American politicians are mainly concerned with the welfare of the citizens of the nation-state, the USA. The Pope's major concerns are global, some would say heavenly. He leads the largest religious organization in the world. It is not democratic, but is that the point of a religious group? It has lasted with modifications for about 2,000 years, far longer than any large democratic state. And allegiance to most religious institutions, at least in the modern world, tends to be voluntary, whereas allegiance to the nation state is usually mandatory.
America has laws to admit immigrants and legitimate refugees, laws continually ignored and defied by the "above the law" Biden Administration and its Border Czarina, Kamala Harris. The US seeks to be democratic, "a democracy within a republic." We hope to have elections where only American citizens can vote.
I will stick to our more democratic institutions. I worry that this election is most important in retaining our democratic republic. Not since Thomas Jefferson sought to destroy Aaron Burr after their dispute concerning who would be President and VP, when Jefferson sought to prosecute (persecute) Burr for activities in Louisiana and the new western lands has there been such vindictive persecution of political rivals. The Democrats have conspired to shut Trump up, impoverish him, and put him in prison for years. And on a smaller scale the Democrats went after Trump's allies like former NYC Mayor Giuliani, and political advisors Peter Navarro and Steven Bannon. Pelosi's J6 Congressional inquiry was as one-sided as a Moscow show trial of the 1930s, in which Pelosi hand-picked the Republican "opposition" like then Congresswoman Liz Cheney. Was she really to represent the Trump defense?

THE KAMALA HARRIS WALZ - AN UNUSUAL BREAK DANCE
You have heard of the Tennessee Waltz, and from down under, Waltzing Matilda, and earlier the Blue Danube and other Strauss waltzes. But the Harris Walz dance is a death dance to America's freedom. If Trump loses to Harris, he is facing up to 700 years in prison - on baseless charges. One of his advisors, Steve Bannon, is presently in prison for refusing to answer questions about conversations between him and Trump. Bannon invoked Executive Privilege, as he was advising the President; but the Biden-Garland Justice Dept. put him in jail, anyway. Similarly, another Trump advisor, Peter Navarro, was imprisoned for 4 months on a similar charge. Yet when Democrat leader of the IRS Lois Lerner refused to answer questions about her using the IRS to target conservatives, she got away with it, and got a promotion. When former Atty Gen. Eric Holder refused to answer questions about our government supplying weapons to Mexican drug cartels, resulting in the murder of a US Agent, Holder refused to answer, and nothing happened to the Obama Atty Gen. Holder.
This November America faces the most consequential election since 1864, when Lincoln chose to run on a mixed ticket as he felt the Republicans were too weak to win alone, Lincoln dropped his Republican VP Hamlin of Maine for a Tennessee War Democrat Andrew Johnson. The Republican/Union ticket was running against Union Gen. Mc Clellan who personally sought to continue the war, but the national Democratic Party platform called for negotiations with the Confederacy and a 2-state solution. A Democratic Party victory might well have meant the end to the Civil War with its heavy casualties and the deal: a 2-state solution, a USA and a CSA, with the continuance of slavery in the South. It was a most important election because the future of the nation and freedom were at stake. So is the election of 2024.
Trump has received the endorsements of Robert Kennedy, Jr., former Dem. Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, and now noted attorney Alan Dershowitz.
And the Harris Walz ticket has recently received the endorsements of former GOP Congresswoman Lynn Cheney and her father, former GOP VP Dick Cheney.
Who would look to the Cheneys for truth? Dick Cheney and the Weapons of Mass Destruction! And the war to prevent their use! His support for Kamala Harris simply makes clear that the military-industrial complex, the instigators of all the no-win wars since WWII, this lobby funding group has left the Republicans to join the Democrats as the new war party. The Dems are also the party of censorship, medictatorships (Fauci), masks, vax, stand in line and never question your betters. The Democrats ran a one-party dictatorship in the South for a century; now they want that kind of dictatorship for the entire nation. The Cheneys and Democrats will enchain America's citizens. The HARRIS WALZ is a dance of death to freedom in America!
Don't be fooled. The Kamala Harris Walz, no matter how sweet the sound of the music or wakeful the sound of her laugh, the Kamala Walz is a break dance - A BREAK AMERICA dance!

More on the Progressive Party of 1948 in the South, and Buford Posey, et al.
My memory can be wrong, but often it is clear and correct - though it may take me a day to retrieve it. I recall a gathering in New Orleans at the home of a slightly older friend Jack P., and his wife Nydia, probably in summer of 1968. It was a small group, about a dozen, and it was to greet Ann Braden, a civil rights and civil liberties activist at least since the 1940s. She and her husband Carl were living in Kentucky, and had blacks visiting their home, or about to sell it to blacks or something on the race issue, and their home was bombed. The local authorities blamed it on the Bradens, and court cases ensued. Ann had written a book on the subject, THE WALL BETWEEN, which I had read when young. They were also activists against HUAC, the House Un-American Activities Committee. Carl had died, but Ann was coming to NO, and Jack invited some local activists to meet her.
There was general chit-chat and questions, and then things changed with the arrival of Buford W. Posey from Philadelphia. Buford first entered the national news light when in 1963 he alleged that the 3 missing civil rights workers, Chaney, Schwerner, and Goodman, were murdered, and NOT as local authorities were speculating, in Havana, Moscow, or New York. At this little meeting in NO, Buford elaborated. He knew they were dead because he had received a phone call late into the night, to the effect: "We just killed those 3 **** and you're going to be number 4." I don't recall the exact words but they were harsher than those in the Mississippi archives. Buford added, he recognized the voice: it was that of a local minister. He added, that the sheriff and authorities could have left the 3 out of custody earlier, but the authorities wanted to wait until the Sunday night religious service was over, because some of the congregation would be involved in the attack on the 3 "outside agitators." Buford elaborated about that era. One day a car he did not recognized pulled up in front of his home. Buford went on the porch with his rifle, "Who are you?" he asked the stranger emerging from his car. The stranger now seemed most nervous: "Can you put that gun down. I'm from the Justice Department. I have been sent here (by Bobby Kennedy) to protect you." Buford asked, "Well, where's your gun?" "Oh I don't have one." Buford then told him to get out of here; I have enough trouble protecting myself without trying to protect you, too." I think many on the Left in the South had a very different view toward weapons from the Northern Left. Buford also said he was the only person who had lost his Mississippi citizenship; a law had been passed denying him that and the right to vote. When someone asked him about a court case, he replied it only applied to one and was too costly to try to win just for one person.
The Mississippi historical group maintained Buford got in trouble in 1948 when he supported Democrat Harry Truman instead of States Rights (Dixiecrat) Strom Thurmond for President. But Ann Braden said something to Buford that he got in trouble as a Progressive, and he agreed. Of course, they might have meant progressive rather than the Prog. Party. I suspect he was PP.
New Orleans had some interesting Progressives. NO her native city, playwright Lillian Hellman was a delegated to the PP Convention that nominated Henry Wallace. Gwen Midlo Hall was a teenage member of the Young Progressives, and she would later become a major scholar in black history. Long before the 1963 raid on the Quorum Club on the edge of the French Quarter, there was a raid in 1949 of a Progressive Party party, in the French Quarter and about 70 were arrested for race mixing, etc.
The Progressive Party was a popular front organization, with Communists and non-Communists, and in the South pushing for integration. On the other side, all race mixing, mongrolization, etc. WAS COMMUNISM. Paul Robeson was a leader of the PP, and his defense of the Soviets cost him dearly. From the most popular black man in the world in the early 1940s, to a non-person in America by 1950. Stalin was a dictator, even more murderous that Hitler. Yet, for the uncomfortable question, had there been no Stalin, would there have been an end to legal segregation in the USA? Would there have been de-colonialization of much of the world? Would Britain still rule India, Pakistan, and half of Africa? Would France still rule Vietnam, and the other half of Africa? The Cold War forced change on America and the world, changes neither wanted, and some of that change was for the good.-----------Hugh Murray

THOUGHTS ON THE DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION AND KAMALA HARRIS
Did the Border Czarina mention the millions of invaders who entered during her control of the border? Or the fake stats from the Commerce Dept. telling of many new hires of jobs, but revising down each month so that 800,000 job gains proved to be more lies by the Biden-Harris Admin.? And most of the small number of new hires are NOT OF AMERICAN WORKERS, but for the invaders? Did she mention the military unde the Democrats of Biden-Harris, and the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan? And how now girls are forbidden school after age 12? The Biden-Harris unlocking vast sums to Iran, so it could fund Hamas, and other terrorist groups in the Middle East? Did she mention how she paid bail for terrorists and looters in America following the George Floyd insurrections? How her policies led to disaster in San Francisco?
Her policy, print dollars so everyone will think they are middle class with health insurance and all the goodies. Price controls. You had that in the USSR, and the department store had a low-priced bedroom set on display. Oh, but we don't have it in stock yet. Sign up, and in 20 years we might have it for you. A phone, 25 years. A car, sorry, I can't stop laughing. Coffee, if you know the clerk in that department, he may be able to help, maybe.
Hugh Murray
PS- Some contend that Kamala was never the Border Czar, and they are correct - she was the Border Czarina.
Oh, IT HAS BEGUN! Today the Dems in the swing state of Wisconsin have gone to the Wisc. Supreme Court to demand that the left-wing Green Party be kicked off the ballot this November. The small Green Party will have 24 hours to reply. I heard that they plan to do the same in Nevada and in all swing states. They call themselves "democrats," but they try to deny the rights of those who want to vote Green, or any left wing party because THEY DEMAND ALL LEFTISTS VOTE FOR THE DEMOCRATS. So the Democrats go to the leftist Wisc. Supreme Court to prevent people from voting green ,red, blue, orange. In time, they will prevent us from voting Republican too, after Trump, Bannon, Novarro, Giuliani, are either in prison or impoverished. To save democracy in America, vote Trump.

Was Paul Robeson Bi-Sexual? End of Dispute.
In spring of 2023, browsing on Google, I found this article that mentioned me in the Lambda Philatelic Journal (LPJ) for March 2011 (v.30, #1)
“Paul LeRoy Bustill Robeson (1898 –1976) Robeson was a multi-lingual American actor, athlete, Basso cantante concert singer, writer, civil rights activist, fellow traveler, Spingarn Medal winner, and Stalin Peace Prize laureate.
“In 1921 Robeson married Eslanda Cordoza Goode. The couple had one child. Robeson would not play a significant role in Gay and Lesbian history was it not for the fact of rumors concerning his bisexuality. In a 1981 issue of the left-wing magazine WIN (now defunct), an article on Robeson had referred to his bisexuality as if it were a well-established fact. Some years later The Advocate (a national gay magazine) printed the claim that Robeson had 'recently [been] revealed to have been gay.' Again in a 1990 article by Hugh Murray, the author insisted that the matter of Robeson's bisexuality remained 'an open question.' His biographer, Martin Duberman, an American historian, playwright, and gay-rights activist and himself openly gay, insists adamantly he had evidence to the contrary and that 'he found absolutely no evidence of Robeson's erotic interest in men.' and that Robeson was 'singularly, rigorously, contentedly heterosexual.' Duberman did find that Robeson had many sexual liaisons and that his most intense, long-lasting affairs were nearly all with white women and that Robeson’s wife seemingly accepted these extramarital sexual adventures. So the rumor of Robeson’s bisexuality appears to be just a rumor started and continued, but also seems to have been disproved by an openly gay scholar who was chosen by Robeson’s own son to complete the biography of the father.”
I was NOT convinced by this article, especially as relatives of the person in question, especially a wife and/or children, might be the least willing to admit that their husband or dad was bi-sexual. But I decided to make some further inquiries to see if it could be settled to the satisfaction of most.
How did I get into this dispute? I had read Duberman's biography of Robeson and was quite impressed. I wanted to review the book, as I had reviewed many others, publishing them mainly in academic journals. This was before the days of Amazon, where I have now reviewed another 80 books or so. Though much of Duberman's biography of Robeson was terrific, I was convinced Duberman had not properly assessed Robeson's political activities while the black celebrity resided in Britain. I began my review with criticism of a guest on Leonard Lopate's WNYC radio talk show, an NAACP spokesman who declared that Robeson was not involved in the American civil rights movement, and Lopate dropped the topic, allowing that distortion to stand unchallenged.
My review was intended to refute the view of the NAACP, which was so critical of Robeson. I am not going to repeat the bulk of my lengthy review here, but will give one example: the most famous civil rights case of the 1930s was the Scottsboro rape cases, in which 8 teenaged blacks were sentenced to death for raping 2 young white women aboard a freight train near Scottsboro, Alabama. The 14-year-old, also found guilty, was given a light sentence because of his age, - a light sentence of life in prison.
When Robeson was in the UK, the Scottsboro rape case continued as a prime example of American racism and injustice. The NAACP and the Communist-front International Labor Defense fought each other to control the defense; the NAACP lost; the ILD appealed all the way to the very conservative US Supreme Court, and won new trials; major civil right legal victories.
The Comintern, that is the international communist movement, had made this a global effort, like the Sacco-Vanzetti case of the 1920s. The Scottsboro case was the cause celebre of the early-mid 1930s. It was the first time since the American Civil War that America's race problems were a major world-wide issue. And domestically it was important because of the contrasts between policies of the NAACP and the ILD. The NAACP sought to provide the attorneys so it could and plead its cases in court. The ILD believed in that too, but equally important, the ILD also sought to mobilize popular opinion through plays, poems, protests, marches, telegrams to officials. The ILD even sent the mother of two of the Scottsboro boys to present the case of her boys, the background of racism in Alabama and in America, and to urge support as she spoke to audiences in London, Moscow, Amsterdam, and pre-Hitler Berlin. Support for Scottsboro defendants came from South Africa, Mme Sun Yat Sen, widow of China's first President, many of the literary figures of the era, and Einstein. The NAACP could not have conducted such an international campaign to save the young blacks, even if it had wantted to.
My purpose here is not to detail all the ups and downs of the Scottsboro case, but a few more should be mentioned. The case was appealed to the US Supreme Court a 2nd time, and again the “horrible 9 old men” ruled in favor of the defendants in a 2nd major civil rights case victory. FDR, the great liberal, was no fan of the Court he tried to pack. Failing that, Roosevelt finally had his chance to “improve” the court. Might Roosevelt choose a most courageous Alabama former jurist, Judge Horton, who heroically threw out a Scottsboro guilty verdict by the jury of Decatur, Alabama, causing him to lose re-election as a judge; might Judge Horton be the President's pick for the Supreme Court? Close, because FDR's first pick for the high court opening was an attorney from Alabama, but Roosevelt chose instead Hugo Black, an attorney for the Alabama Ku Klux Klan. But the liberal wing of the Klan. If there is some question re FDR's racial views, following the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, the President never invited to the White House Jesse Owens who won 4 gold medals, and who had been cheered in the huge Olympic stadium in Berlin. Nor were the other black atletes invited. Owens later complained, that Hitler did not snub him, but Roosevelt did. I mention this because academia and the historical profession are overwhelmingly Democratic, and for them FDR is a near god. America was not merely racist, it had provided inspiration for some early Nazi racial laws. It is noteworthy that Scottsboro earns some discussion in the new book by British critic Kenan Malik, Not So Black and White: A History of Race from White Supremacy to Identity Politics, in which Malik even contrasts the racial implications of the philosophies of Immanuel Kant and his pupil Johann Gottfried Herder. Not the typical work on race, but a fascinating, thought-provoking one nonetheless.
While this was occurring in the US, Robeson was in mainly in Britain, making films that could be shown throughout Africa – half of which was part of the British Empire. (He was in the US to be featured in Hollywood's 1936 version of “Show Boat,” singing Ole Man River.) Robeson in Britain and America was often on stage in plays and singing. He was aware of America's race problems too, and so it is no surprise noting the 2 co-chairs of the British Scottsboro Defence Committee were Paul Robeson and a university student from east Africa. Johnstone Kenyatta. On the set of some films Robeson, a star, met and befriended some of the extras who were African students. Here, for example Robeson met Nnamdi Azikiwe, who would later become the first President of Nigeria. Robeson surely conversed with the Africans and gained a more comprehensive notion of events in the British Empire, which in the 1930s ruled a quarter of the earth. It should be no surprise that when Robeson returned to the US, he became a leader of the Council on African Affairs. And when one student returned to his homeland, Johnstone became better known as Jomo Kenyatta, led the Mau Mau insurrection against the British, and evertually became the first president of Kenya.
No mention of Kenyatta in Duberman's book. Robeson was aware of race problems in the US and in Africa related to colonialism. The common view now is that Robeson was NOT involved in the American civil rights movement, when he lived abroad, AND when he returned to the US. Most historians follow the lead of the NAACP officials in their hostility both to Communism, front groups, and Robeson, and anyone to their Left. Not only do I disagree with this view, I see it as propaganda of the Truman Democrats and their deal with the NAACP, which would soon include creating new intelligence agenciesfor the Cold War and a Democratic Party McCarthyism before McCarthy..
During his fight to change the Supreme Court, when Roosevelt sought to pack the court with his ideological friends, VP John Nance Garner of Texas opposed his boss. When war in Europe erupted in September 1939, Roosevelt had other worries than the Great Depression to consider. And should he defy convention and run for a 3rd term as President? If he did, Garner had to go. There was no great support for him, and the party was satisfied to dump Garner. FDR decided to replace him with his Sec. Of Agriculture, Henry Wallace. The news of spring 1940 was dominated by the swift German victories over Denmark, Norway, Netherlands, Belgium and then spectatularly over France. Europe's news brought change to the Republicans, with the nomination of a former Democrat whose foreign policy was closer to that of FDR than to the isolationist Republicans. In 1940 Congress finally passed an anti-lynching bill, but FDR chose NOT to sign it. Ending lynching was too controversial for the great liveral Democrat. Roosevelt was re-elected for an unheard of 3rd term.
A Soviet agent in the American Treasury Dept. would play an important part in events of 1941. He was assigned to draw up terms to which Japan would have to agree so that the US would not cut off oil and metal shipments to Japan. The agent basically demanded that Japan withdraw all troops from China, which it could not do and remain a major power. It promised to let us know its answer in December 1941. Stalin knew that Japan would not attack Siberia, so he could then release troops from the Far East to defend Moscow, which was under attack by the Germans by winter 1941. The fresh troops from Siberia helped save Moscow, the USSR, and Stalin. Spies can make a difference.
Democratic President Woodrow Wilson had segregated the American armed services as he segregated the Federal Civil Service. One of his progressive reforms. Democratic President Franklin Roosevelt kept the segregated armed services and Civil Service all through WWII.
An NAACP official on WNYC radio in New York asserted that Robeson did not partake in the American Civil Rights movement. Everyone knows, the CR Movement began in the 1950s, usually with the arrest on the bus of seamstress Rosa Parks. I contend that this version of history is distorted for political reasons, and as most historians and media folks are liberal Democrats, they prefer this version. I contend, the first major post-WWII Civil Rights movement began in 1947-48, it was closely allied with the Henry Wallace Progressive Party, and Paul Robeson was a co-chair of that party. Most Americans have never heard of those civil rights efforts BECAUSE it was a movement destroyed by Harry Truman and the Democrats, with the collaboration of the NAACP.
When Robeson returned to the US, he was involved in civil rights. Moreover, I contend that the real post-WWII civil rights movement began not in the 1950s, but in 1947-48 with the founding of the Henry Wallace Progressive Party, especially with its efforts in the South. Robeson was a co-chair of the PP, and while the Wallace campaign tour of the South got some attention, the attempts by Robeson to hire civic halls for the Party and songs were usually dismissed for various reasons, but the real reason, these were to be racially integrated events. Names of Progressive supporters like Daisy Bates and Buford Posey and Floyd Mc Kissick would pop up later,(Bates during the Central High integration in Little Rock, Posey in exposing the locals in Philadelphia, Miss. who contended that the 3 missing civil rights workers were alive and well and had secretly gone to Cuba, Moscow, or New York; and Floyd Mc Kissisk who in the mid-1960s headed the CORE organization). The Progressive Party activists were in the struggle against the one-party Democrats' misrule in the South. Robeson was Co-Chair or the PP. Even in 1949-50 a 4-year old Carl Bernstein (you may have heard of the Watergate scandal) was involved in restaurant sit-downs (later called sit-ins) in the Baltimore/DC area, thanks to his Progressive mother. The Progressive Party WAS the Civil Rights movement following WWII. And it was smashed by Harry Truman, the Democrats, and the NAACP. Most liberal histories present Truman as a civil rights President, the first to address the NAACP, the first to push for integration of the military. But his Atty. Gen. List of subversive organizations meant that any who had been members of the International Labor Defense, the National Negro Congress, the Civil Rights Congress, or the Council on African Affairs might lose their jobs and suffer other consequences. Robeson stood against the Truman Doctrine on the domestic as wall as the foreign fronts. I hope some day someone will write the history of that earlier civil rights movement. Unfortunately, some of that history, is crumbling, on local newspapers that can fall apart as you turn a page and are then lost, unless also on microfilm. There was an earlier civl rights movement that the Democrats seek to deny. I hope some younger historians can become archiologists of that now hidden movement of about 75 years ago. (There was an early Freedom Ride sponsored by the Fellowship of Reconciliation) in 1947 but its participants were arrested in North Carolina, and it was forgotten until revived in the early 1960s by James Farmer of CORE. (Jim Peck, who had partaken in the earlier ride, was among the first to ride in the 60s and was severely beaten by the segregationists in the South. On some of Robeson's efforts to desegregate auditoriums in the Progressive campaign, see, https://specialcollections.buncombecounty.org/2017/11/09/baritone-singer-paul-robeson-and-the-segregation-policies-of-the-asheville-auditorium/ I hope some younger historians will shake the Democrati/liberal blinders from their eyes and research the earlier civil rights struggle in the South by the Left. The Truman/NAACP deal was clear. When Du Bois, and employee of the NAAACP refused to support Truman, and was openly for Henry Wallace, he was promptly fired. That was the kind of freedom offered by the Democrats. Robeson was against colonialism; why would he support Truman? Happily, the Trumanites did not resort to Stalin's methods of dealing with opponents. Radicals were not executed, (unless they were convicted spies). But it was not an easy time for civil liberties, or civil rights..
When I became aware of the LPJ article years after its publication, I realized my charge about Robeson being bi-sexual was still out there. I then thought, can this be cleared, one way or another before we all die?
In my review of Duberman's biography of Robeson, published in the Journal of Ethnic Studies (Summer, 1990), most of my lengthy review concerned Robeson's politics. However, I added a few pages at the end when I included information of a different sort, based on a source whom I thought would have expert, but rather hush-hush allegations. I first met Eric Gordon in the summer of 1969 in my home town of New Orleans. Eric Gordon, then a graduate student at Tulane U., in New Orleans was organizing the Students for a Democratic Society in the South, and the first such meeting was being conducted at the Tulane student center. I had been teaching the university year at Southern U. in N. O., basically the black branch of the state's black university. Once LSU had a New Orleans branch, then called LSUNO, Southern U. in Baton Rouge would get a branch too, SUNO. I had also been among several faculty members fired for supporting a lengthy student strike that began with pulling down the American flag and replacing it with a black nationalist one – black, red, and green. Of course, in the spring of 1969 many campuses throughout the nation erupted, as at Cornell U. in New York. Eric hoped the new SDS would supplant the less radical SSOC, the Southern Students' Organizing Committee. I remember that organization best for its button, - in the foreground a black hand and white hand shaking in friendship, background, the Confederate battle flag (the rebel flag) SNCC and CORE had generally expelled all their white members in the early-mid 60s, so SSOC was mainly for white Southern lefties and liberals. It was also before politically correct madness that would stigmatize as “racist” any symbol of the South, and later, any symbol of America in general. Ironically, the model for the black hand on the button was John Lewis, who became an elected Representative from Georgia. He would later have to give his denunciation of the rebel flag to satisfy the new intolerance of our times.
After being fired at SUNO, I left for Europe. In New York City in the 1980s I encountered Eric Gordon again. We were both singing in the Gay Men's Chorus. I have an extremely nasal, and limited voice, but the chorus invited all. Eric however could really sing, and we stood next to each other, sang and chatted. When he heard I planned to review the book on Robeson, he wanted to give me important information. He assured me that Robeson had a male lover. His lover lived in a separate home; it was all kept secret, but Eric was emotional in asserting that it was true. I asked the name of his lover; but Eric was not at liberty to provide that. If you check Eric's name on google, you will see he is an expert on music, and radicals, so I assumed his story was true. I also assumed that with his radical background he had inside information.
In the concluding pages of my review in the J. of Ethnic Studies (Summer 1990, pp. 125-42), I criticize Duberman for not probing into the possibility that Robeson was bi-sexual.(136) For that, Duberman would denounce me in print, and even the stamp world would read of our dispute.
Interestingly, I made another error in the final “musical “ pages of my review. I accused the wrong Robeson accompanist of being gay. Eric Gordon caught the error, wrote to the journal, and Gordon's letter criticizing me was published, along with my acknowledgement of my error. That was published a year after my article. But Gordon did NOT criticize what I had written about Paul Robeson possibly being bi-sexual.(See Journal of Ethnic Studies, Winter 1991, p. 142)
When I read the LPJ article, I thought we should settle this before we die. I wrote to an old acquaintance, and she kindly gave me Eric Gordon's address. I wrote to him, in part here is the email -
> Hello Eric, ... > I recall that you knew much more about his male lover. Not only is he dead, but our time is running out. If you know, I urge you to reveal pertinent material and end the debate. Of course, I would like to claim Paul as one of ours, but truth is what is important. Can you settle the issue one way or the other?
and Eric responded:
Sent to me March 3, 2023 I'm not sure I can settle this one way or another. I heard a story third hand that intrigued me but with no substantiation I have long since concluded that it was either a fantasy or perhaps my informant̢۪s memory was faulty. So I have not put much stock in it ever since. I trust Duberman to have the final answer to your question.
In the 1990s I encountered a man who had been a paper boy in his youth for radical publications.
He delivered to the elderly Roberson, and on one occasion, thought Paul was coming on to him. He
said Paul invited him for some green tea, and that in the gay community, that was an “invitation.”
As someone who has resided in Asia, I know that many Asians believe green tea is healthy, and green
tea is added to many items. In Saigon I had green tea cheese cake at Starbucks. I think you can find it
in toothpaste. The man who had been a paper boy, never said there was sex, just that he thought
Paul was inviting him. I think he was mistaken. Moreover, IF Paul Robeson had been bi, surely over
the years someone would have come forward with their more elaborate stories. The absence of
more allegations over time, basically confirms what Duberman wrote.
I apologize. I was wrong. I have no evidence that Paul Robesonwas bi-sexual. I apologize to the Paul Robeson family and
to Martin Duberman. Hugh Murray
